Arrival at Katra - Banganga Darshan
Check-in, Banganga Temple, Evening Aarti
Arrive at Jammu airport/railway station and drive to Katra (approx. 1.5 hours). Check-in to hotel and freshen up. Visit Banganga Temple - where Lord Rama is believed to have shot an arrow to bring water for Goddess Vaishno Devi. Take a holy dip in the sacred Banganga river. Evening attend aarti at Katra base camp. Get your Yatra slip for the pilgrimage. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Vaishno Devi Bhawan Darshan - The Sacred Trek
Katra to Bhawan - Charan Paduka, Ardhkuwari, Holy Cave
Early morning start (4:00 AM) for the sacred trek to Vaishno Devi Bhawan (13 km uphill). The trek takes you through Charan Paduka (the holy footprints of the Goddess), Ardhkuwari Cave (halfway point where the Goddess meditated), and Himkoti. Reach the Holy Cave Shrine for darshan of the three Pindis - Maha Kali, Maha Lakshmi, and Maha Saraswati. Seek blessings and receive prasad. Return to Katra or stay at Bhawan for overnight. Dinner and rest.
Bhairon Temple & Patnitop Excursion
Bhairon Nath Temple, Patnitop, Shiv Khori
After completing darshan, visit Bhairon Temple - an essential part of the pilgrimage as the yatra is considered incomplete without visiting Bhairon Nath. Drive to Patnitop (approx. 2 hours) - a beautiful hill station at 2024m altitude with stunning views of the Shivalik range. Visit Shiv Khori Cave Shrine (if time permits) - a natural cave with a 4-foot tall Svayambhu Lingam. Return to Katra for dinner and overnight stay.
Katra - Departure
Morning puja, Return journey to Jammu
Morning free for last-minute puja and shopping at Katra market for dry fruits, handicrafts, and Vaishno Devi souvenirs. Check-out from hotel and drive to Jammu airport/railway station for your onward journey. Tour ends with divine blessings from Mata Vaishno Devi and unforgettable memories of the Himalayan pilgrimage.
