The Amarnath Yatra takes place only during the Shravan month (July–August) each year, when thousands of devotees undertake the challenging trek to seek blessings of Baba Barfani. The pilgrimage route passes through breathtaking landscapes including the lush Pahalgam valley, the scenic Sheshnag Lake, and the challenging Mahagunas Pass at 14,100 feet.

Important: The Amarnath Yatra requires mandatory registration through the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB). A medical fitness certificate from authorized hospitals is compulsory. The Yatra typically runs for 45 days during Shravan month, but dates are subject to weather conditions and administrative decisions. Book early — permits are limited and sell out quickly.

Arrive at Srinagar Airport where our representative will receive you with a warm welcome. Transfer to your hotel in Srinagar for check-in and rest. Afternoon visit to the famous Dal Lake with a peaceful Shikara ride to acclimatize to the altitude. Evening enjoy the beautiful sunset over the Zabarwan mountains. Dinner and overnight stay at your Srinagar hotel. Medical briefing about the upcoming Yatra will be conducted by our guide.
Srinagar → Pahalgam / Chandanwari
Pahalgam Valley • Chandanwari Base • First Camp
After an early breakfast, depart for Pahalgam (approx. 2.5 hours drive). Enroute enjoy scenic views of the Lidder Valley. Arrive at Pahalgam and proceed to Chandanwari (16 km from Pahalgam), the starting point of the traditional Yatra route. Chandanwari is famous for its snow bridges and marks the beginning of the sacred trek. Check-in to your camp/base accommodation. Evening puja and aarti at the camp. Dinner and overnight stay.
Trek to Sheshnag / Panchtarni

Begin the sacred trek early morning from Chandanwari. The trail passes through beautiful pine forests and crosses the stunning Mahagunas Pass (14,100 ft). The highlight of this day is the breathtaking Sheshnag Lake — a crystal-clear alpine lake named after the mythical serpent king, believed to guard the Amarnath Cave. The lake offers mesmerizing views of snow-capped peaks. Continue the trek to Panchtarni (the land of five rivers), the last camp before the Holy Cave. Dinner and overnight at high-altitude camp with basic facilities.
Holy Cave Darshan & Return
Amarnath Cave • Ice Lingam Darshan • Return to Pahalgam
The most auspicious day! Early morning departure (around 2-3 AM) for the final trek to the Amarnath Holy Cave. The 6 km trek from Panchtarni to the cave takes approximately 3-4 hours. Upon reaching the cave, witness the divine Ice Lingam (Baba Barfani) — a naturally formed ice stalagmite that waxes and wanes with the phases of the moon. Offer your prayers and seek blessings. After darshan, begin the return journey to Pahalgam. Evening relax and recover at your hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at Pahalgam.
Departure from Srinagar

After breakfast, drive back to Srinagar. Enroute visit Betaab Valley and Aru Valley if time permits. In Srinagar, visit the famous Mughal Gardens (Nishat Bagh, Shalimar Bagh) and Shankaracharya Temple. Transfer to the airport for your flight back to Bangalore, carrying divine blessings and unforgettable memories of the sacred Amarnath Yatra.
