The highlight of your Bhutan trip! Early morning start for the iconic hike to Tigers Nest Monastery (Paro Taktsang) - Bhutans most famous landmark. This sacred Buddhist monastery clings to a cliff face at 3,120 meters - approximately 900 meters above the Paro Valley floor. According to legend, Guru Rinpoche flew to this location on the back of a tigress and meditated in a cave here. The hike takes approximately 2-3 hours each way through pine forests with prayer flags fluttering in the wind. At the viewpoint, enjoy breathtaking views of the monastery and valley. After descending, enjoy a hot stone bath to soothe your muscles. Farewell dinner with traditional Bhutanese dance performance. Overnight at Paro hotel.
Paro - Ta Dzong - Departure
